Postdoc Research Fellow
The lab is interested in understanding fundamental regulatory mechanisms of gene expression in various contexts including but not limited to metabolism, tissue development, and pharmacogenomics. To this end, we primarily focus on enhancer regulation, transcription, architecture, and function. We take systems approaches and develop computational pipelines integrating various types of high-throughput data such as ChIP-seq, ChIP-exo, GRO-seq, (sc)RNA-seq, ATAC-seq, and Hi-C. (Example publications in google scholar).
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will develop computational methods to analyze and integrative multi-omics data and will have unique opportunities to do research at the interface of quantitative science, experimental biology, and clinical science.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. in quantitative science such as computer science, bioinformatics, physics or a related interdisciplinary field, be highly motivated in problem-solving, and have strong communication skills. Experience of next generation sequencing data and is preferred. Experience of bioinformatics tool development is plus. Candidates from biological background with quantitative training are also encouraged to apply.
